Actually there is a new research study claims that thousands of Android apps comes with "input-Triggered" meaning event triggered basis secrets backdoors of unwanted items. There is a new tool called InputScope which is used to analysed 1,50,000 apps. Out of these apps there is 12706 apps have found to have backdoor and even 4,028 apps have checking for blacklisted words as well. Also in the 150000 apps, 100000 apps were from Google Play store and 30000 apps are pre-installed
on brand new Samsung smart phone.

This new research study comes from Ohio State University, New york University and the Helmholtz Center for Information security (CISPA). So this researchers analysed the data using the InputScope tool to find out the hidden backdoors apps. This tool used to Identify automatic detection of both execution context of user input validation and which content involved in the validation processs to automatically expose the hidden functionality.


The pool of Hidden backdoor apps had

1. Android apps from Google Play Store
2. pre-installed apps from Samsung phones, and
3. 20,000 apps from Chinese market Baidu as well.

The test uncovered 12,706 mobile apps containing backdoor secrets and 4,028 mobile apps containing blacklist secrets.

 Undocumented backdoors include
 1.secret access keys,
 2.master passwords, and
 3. secret privileged commands, and
 4.blacklists of unwanted items include censorship keywords,
 5.cyber-bulling expressions, and weak passwords.

 Also some of the shocking secret backdoors and blacklists on apps can allow for

1. remote login,
2. reset user passwords,
3. stop users from accessing content,
and let hackers bypass payment interfaces.

All of these exist without any user knowledge, and this poses as another great threat in the chaotic Android ecosystem.
